What the hell was wrong with me? Okay, I'll admit it. 1999 wasn't my shining hour of good decision making and clearest judgment (for example). I vaguely remember seeing The Matrix. I'm pretty sure it was after it came out on video and I'm also pretty sure that I fell asleep during it. I remember thinking it was an interesting premise, but too much of a video game for me. It can't be Sunday night already. I have too many things that I was going to do this weekend. Not the least of which was stop being so tired. Okay, that has been a goal for a really long time now. But I was starting to feel just tired, instead of completely exhausted. But the past two days I've slipped back towards exhaustion. It doesn't help that the cats have been playing demolition derby in the bedroom at 3 AM the last few nights. I just read a "You know you are from Newtown when" list over at Facebook. Um, wow. Now, I know that I wasn't the most socially aware high schooler. I didn't find out that folks were selling heroin at the high school until after I was in college. Maybe grad school. But damn. Things sure aren't the way I remember them. I remember that Drug Center was a place to hang out, but not THE place. That was the Grand Union parking lot. Everyone had a Volvo station wagon - yup. That hasn't changed. Same with going to Town Hall.First there was "Blog." Then "Ajax." Now we have "Topless."

We are always coming up with new names for things. It's what we do at Adaptive Path. You get smart, geeky, creative people together and wordplay is bound to happen. A couple years ago now, Dan started advocating for "topless" meetings.
