Better ≠ Good

Things are better. A lot better. But we still have a ways to go. The cat bite is healing. It was oozing puss most of Saturday, but now it's settled into gentle itching and bruising. Looks like there's no worry of the arm falling off. Yay. The headcold is also mostly gone. Double yay. The house is mostly unpacked. We did a shitload of work this weekend, yet it didn't feel as hard as the unpacking of the kitchen the weekend before. It's unpacked enough now that I wasn't embarrassed to have Arshad and his friend stop by for a80% of Cat Bites Result in Infection

And being the over-achiever that I am, I got said infection. It's my own stupid fault. Here's the story. I let Horus out of the upstairs yesterday to mingle with Freesia and Smudge. The day before when that happened there was just a lot of growling and dirty looks with a few chases. I figured it wouldn't hurt for them to continue their staring contests. I was unpacking some stuff upstairs when I hear Freesia screaming. I ran downstairs and Horus had cornered her under the table and she was wailing and screaming like a stuck pig - though HorusWhere are the magical house unpacking faeries?

It's happened. I've moved. E and I are now residents of Potrero Hill in San Francisco. And there was much rejoicing. Almost all of our stuff is physically located in the house (though I still have a carload in my trunk). I am exhausted. And I hurt. All over. Unpacking boxes is hard work. And I have over 80 boxes of crap. You never realize how much crap you have until you move it. And then you are overwhelmed by the size of the crap. And I, at least, resolve to reduce the amount of said crap. But the problem
