I was just reading Rebekah Golden's blog, and she mentioned a great idea for blogging. She found the advice to "blog the things that hurt and blog the things that are enjoyable every day... to give you a sense of what makes you happy and what makes you unhappy." (I'd love to know where you saw this, I'm always looking for blog ideas). Like Rebekah, I was taken with the idea and thought I'd give it a whirl. Though I'll follow her advice and do the happy things second.
The Hurt: Forcing myself to stay focused when I haven't had enough to sleep. Being so cold I hurt. Deep, bone aching pain in my feet, ankles and knees. The Holiday Blues and missing those who are gone. Not knowing if I'll get a chance to see my grandmother ever again.
The Enjoyable: A house that smells like freshly baked apple crisp. Thinking about my loved ones while I knit or quilt something just for them. Hugs from dear friends when they open their Kitmas present. Learning a friend is winning her fight with cancer. My new sewing machine. Thinking of my next knitting project.
